My Nato and Pax squads

I’ve never bought anything from this game and never will (the game itself was £62!). Even if I did, I’d still keep it simple.

I’ve always loved the cold and the cooler seasons. I’m not sure if anyone here has read Dune or watched the films by Dennis Villeneuve. Basically the book is set on an entirely sand desert planet with little to no natural water. After reading the book and watching the films it really made me appreciate water in our everyday lives, and cooler weather over the intense heat of the desert described in Dune.

The book goes into great detail about the geography and geology of the planet and how the native peoples live and survive with no natural source of water. There is a part where one of the characters explains to the natives the concept of rain, how water falls from the sky and I just thought wow… it made me appreciate every drop of rain on my window, every puddle, every stream, every lake, every sea and ocean. Every reflection of light from the rain drops on a car, a street lamp, a gate, a shop window.

I love how when it rains the streets are glistened. It gives off a sense of cleansing and freshness. I love the freshness of the cool winds of the autumn and winter as opposed to the arid stick and sweat of the intense heat of the summer.

After two holidays in the sweltering summer heat of the Mediterranean, I was so glad to come back the UK. I was ecstatic to see the clouds and grey sky’s and the lush green fields of England from the window of the plane. How to wind and wet drizzle hit my face as I stepped off the plane. It made me really value and appreciate living in a country with a temperate maritime climate with regular rainfall and seasonal change.

Can anyone relate?
