The Right Side Dilemma
Lack of width and wingers is hurting Argentina especially when the RB is the weakest spot. Either De Paul or Molina have to be benched for Simeone. Molina has been not been great defensively as well. Even in today's game it was a burst of brilliance and a shift to the right side from Messi which led to those goals. Messi at this moment is the chance creator, playmaker and finisher, at 39 he can't do all of those things. Lautaro and Julian need to step up (Lautaro missed a horrendous chance). I thought it was a really good game for Enzo, Paredes, Tagliafico. But the LM, RB problem continues to haunt Argentina, and against stronger and quicker teams like France or England, the defence will split open wide because we are relying on our full backs to create width and Molina is not at his 100%. Honestly there is a clear lack of creativity in the mid field.
Next Game, I would start with Lo Celso and Simeone ahead of Mac Allister and De Paul/Molina.
