Do players understand how the clues work?

Every day I am baffled at the number of people that get the Bandle wrong. Don’t get me wrong, there are often multiple songs a week that have me stumped. But even in the worst cases, I just use the clue.
Today’s Bandle has a 23% incorrect rate at the time I played it. The song is Little Lion Man. The clue? “Small Lion Guy.” That’s how almost every clue works - every word in the title of the song is replaced by a synonym. So my question is, do people just give up and that counts as a fail? Or do people actually not understand that the clues more often than not explicitly give away the answer? And even when they don’t the search function is good enough to return the result you’re looking for.

Every Episode Ranked!

Just finished my second rewatch of the show and I ranked every episode! Here are my top and bottom 8 and a link to the full list. Based on average placement, my season ranking is 2, 3, 1, 5, 6, 4 (makes sense) and my favorites from every season are Modern Warfare, Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas, Remedial Chaos Theory, Intro to Knots, Geothermal Escapism, and Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television.
