We suspect Rory is a shapeshifter. Or at the very least her fur is a spectacle!

What toys are your Shorkie's favorites? Share photos and stories please!

  1. One of the first toys for a little baby Rory! They were almost the same size! My wife is smart and removed the eyes and sewed up the holes so the sloth looked like something from a horror movie with no eyes and black thread sticking out! (side note - when Rory was that young and had the lighter color around her face I thought of her as a star-nosed mole - google it... if you dare)
  2. The same sloth but Rory had grown! It was her baby. Eventually we had to buy more of them as the old ones declined. Each would have eyes removed and sewn up to make sure they were safe. And even then Rory would not be left alone with them for too long.
  3. Teddy Bear - he is a more basic toy. He often ended up lost under the table in the living room. He is also really good with collecting dust and dirt from the hardwood floors.
  4. Lamb chop!! The fur has been made solid with tongue juice!
  5. Jack - those arms are the best for tug of war and for sliding Rory across the floor.
  6. Beast is not a toy! He is support for mom's arms. But sometimes Rory can sleep next to him or on him. Rory has flavor-tested his limbs only a few times.
  7. Mermaid is OG! She has been around since Rory was younger. She is also good for tug of war. I think she spent a few months in the backseat of the car before making it back into our home.
  8. Pooh - Like Beast, not a chewing or play toy. For mom. But also has limbs that every once in a while can be tasted.
  9. MINKEY!!! And yes, spelled M-I-N-K-E-Y, because this is a monkey that Rory treats as a binky (aka pacifier). It is her comfort toy. The way she holds it and walks around with it looks just like a baby with a binky. But can also be used for tug of war with an understanding that Rory will grab your fingers accidentally when repositioning mid-battle sometimes.
  10. Baby Sloth!! Although looking at these photos and compared to earlier sloth photos it now looks like Rory has grown to be labrador sized. She has not. This is baby sloth.
