Tiling suggestions

Recently a new stove/oven was installed but no splashback was provided.

  1. Keen to tile this area (or other suggestions?): 600x900mm
  2. Beginner-friendly materials.
  3. Does not have to match the white tiles on the left
  4. What kind of bond/glue? What kind of grout? Which tools...and how substantial is the clean up (beginner)?
  5. Rough cost?
