The striped texture completely fooled me at first — it almost looks like wood grain from a distance.
Then you notice the deep brown leather, the ghw, and how oddly well everything works together.
Would this grow on you, or is it too unusual?
Some remind me of a pink sunset, some of salt lakes, and others of clouds right before sunrise.
Same color family, but every texture somehow creates a completely different “scenery.”

I’ve used this one regularly for about three years and only noticed the side profile recently.
I don’t carry anything especially heavy, but the sides look much softer and more collapsed than I remembered.
I know some people love a relaxed BK, but this has me wondering if it’s normal aging or if I should actually do something about it.
Both are black with PHW, both are Epsom, but side by side the leather feels noticeably different.
One feels firmer and more structured, while the other feels smoother and a little softer in hand.
I didn’t notice it until I compared them directly, and now the difference feels pretty obvious.

It’s sitting there like this is the normal place in the world for a BK.
