Looking for black girl gamers (28F)

Hey everyone! I’m looking for fellow black girl gamers on PC or Switch(or we can play cross platform). I’m quite introverted and don’t have people to play with. I’m specifically looking for black women who are queer/ally (don’t want to deal with bigotry). It’s not required, but I would prefer to play with people who aren’t already in established friend groups. I would love to make friends with people who are also searching for a couple people to game with.

Currently I’m playing Fortnite Zero Build and Halloween. Would love to get back into Minecraft or start Stardew Valley or try out Overwatch. I’m open to playing a lot of games, as long as I’m not spending insane money on games I don’t have 😅 Please feel free to ask me anything in the comments!

Seeking Advice, Friends To Game With (And Small Rant lol)

Hi everyone! I posted on Reddit for the first time last week, seeking advice on how to make online friends to potentially game with as an introvert. I got a lot of unexpected comments and dms which was overwhelming but appreciated.

However, I’ve been having a hard time. I was prepared for people to flake on conversation or for us to not vibe, I’m fine with that. My issue is that I specifically posted in 2 black girl gamer subreddits because I wanted to try and eliminate at least some bigotry. And in general I would be much more comfortable gaming with a black woman.

With that being said (haven’t gamed with anyone only chatted), the main people that have reached out to me are men, specifically non black men. I’m not well versed in how Reddit works, but I am confused on how so many men are in these black girl gamer subreddits. It’s a bit frustrating because it’s not what I’m looking for. I’m 27F (EST) and I’m not opposed to befriending men, it’s just not what I’m looking for right now.

At this point I’ve ignored multiple dms and stopped talking to some people because I saw that they were men. I wasn’t going to make a post about it but there’s 1 person that I’ve been talking to a decent amount this past week, and they just sent me a photo of their Halloween costume from last year, and I can clearly see it’s a white man. I feel very weird about this, we have a decent amount of things in common but it makes me uncomfortable that he’s not a black woman like I expected. I’m not one to ghost people but I’m not sure if I should continue talking to him?

Has anyone else experienced this? I thought this was a safe space for black girl gamers (some of the men have nsfw accounts) but I’m a bit put off by this. What are y’all opinions?

Seeking advice & maybe friends to play with! (EST)

Hi, I’m 27F and seeking for advice. I’ve been a lone gamer for a while now but I’ve always craved playing with other people. However, being introverted has made that difficult for me.

How do I go about making friends? I’m past the age where I can organically make new friends. I’m shy/quiet (unless I know you well) but I can engage in conversation. Even if someone comments and says they want to play with me, how do I go about speaking to strangers especially if I don’t know if we will vibe together? I don’t want to just play with people I also want to potentially make lasting relationships. However, speaking with people I’ve never met online is VERY new for me.

Any and all insight would be appreciated! If you’re also an introvert, please let me know how you navigate these spaces and if you’re also looking for gaming friends. Thank you I really appreciate the help!
