Men To Men

There are a lot of philosophical or self-help books that transform men out there, but on a personal note, I think every man who really wants to be a good partner, a good father, and a person that other men can admire yet envy should read and practice the principles discussed by Niccolò Machiavelli in The Prince. This book teaches more about the life of a leader, which by nature translates into manhood.

Anyway, to soften things up, after that you should go through Meditations. This book is all you need if you are a father to sons especially because it teaches you how to raise men of honour, just by applying the teachings about Marcus Aurelius’ life and upbringing. This book changed my perspective on how I was personally treated as I was growing up. I was raised in a harsh state, tiichinzi varume hava cheme

At some point, I thought it was abuse that a boy in Grade 3 should be able to do his own laundry, make his bed, and clean the dishes for a family of five. But after reading Meditations, I started realizing that actually we were being taught to be reselient like we are turning to be.

All I am saying is that for men, especially people between 20–35, life doesn’t really make sense at this age. Everything seems like it is not working in your favor, but trust me, this is the period where a lot of our beliefs are tried and tested. I hope you don’t live a frowning life because of your circumstances, but instead take the time and treat it as training for something you always wanted. Just like how we suffer 13 years of our lives just to get O Level. Hold on, look around you, see how blessed you are, and try some of the principles in these books.

Remote job needed

I never thought I’d find myself making a post like this, but here I am.

Right now, I’m looking for any remote work or freelance opportunities as I’m trying to raise some money and get through a difficult period. Things are honestly a bit tough at the moment, so even a small project would mean a lot.

Most of my professional background comes from over 8 years in hospitality front of house, sommelier work, assistant management, and floor operations. I’ve worked in fast-paced environments where pressure is constant, and over the years I’ve learned how to stay calm, solve problems quickly, communicate with all kinds of people, and keep things moving when everything feels chaotic.

I also hold a degree in Business and IT. While I haven’t worked in the field full-time, I’ve done remote freelance work involving website development, customer success, admin support, and digital tasks for clients.

Over time I’ve built practical skills in:
• WordPress development
• Shopify & WooCommerce
• HTML/CSS front-end work
• Intermediate PHP & Python
• SEO & Google Business optimisation
• GA4, Search Console & Tag Manager
• Content publishing & formatting
• Research & admin support
• AI-assisted workflows using tools like Claude & Cursor
• Basic automation & workflow support

I’m not going to pretend I know everything, and I won’t oversell myself. If something is outside my skill set, I’ll say so honestly. But I learn fast, I work hard, and I genuinely care about delivering good work.

At the moment I’m open to almost anything remote:
• Freelance projects
• VA/admin support
• SEO or website work
• AI/content support
• One-off tasks or ongoing work

I’m based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, fully set up for remote work, comfortable working across time zones, and flexible on rates depending on the work.

If anyone here needs help with something, or knows someone who might, I’d truly appreciate a message or comment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this
