17k salary

Ganito po ba talaga?

I had an initial interview through a phone call, and when they asked about my expected salary, I said ₱20k for a civil engineer position. I only have ojt experience pero license na ako. However, the company told me na ₱17k lang daw ang kaya nilang i-offer. Since desperado na rin akong makahanap ng work, I decided na i-grab na lang kahit below my expected salary.

After that, they invited me for a final interview. Since I'm from the province and their office is in Metro Manila, I had to travel all the way there and take a chance.

Pagdating ko sa office, I found out na hindi pala final interview ang gagawin that day. Instead, I was asked to take a technical examination. After the exam, they told me na ie-email na lang daw nila ang results. If I pass, saka pa lang ako mai-schedule for the actual final interview.

Apparently, they're still looking for other applicants, too. Mamimili pa daw sila.

Honestly, I felt disappointed and frustrated. I spent money on transportation, traveled for hours, and made an effort to show up, only to find out na hindi pa pala ako officially at the final interview stage.

Job Offer

I have no work experience pa po, and may company po na nag-offer sa akin ng job.
