I’m a close friend of Akhil, and this is what I was told directly by him.
According to Akhil, the whole “Megha ran away with a bus driver” story was actually planned as a prank involving Akhil, Megha and their friends. The plan allegedly included staged CCTV footage and a full scripted storyline.
But here’s where things apparently went completely off the rails. 👀
Someone from their own team allegedly leaked the CCTV footage BEFORE they had even finished preparing the script and before they were ready to reveal the prank.
Once the footage got out, people started treating the story as real. Suddenly, what was supposed to be controlled content turned into a massive controversy.
And then there’s the bus driver.
From what I was told, the driver apparently went to the police, while Akhil allegedly told him that he would compensate him. That’s also why, according to what I heard, the driver is still appearing on social media and talking about the incident.
The craziest part?
If Akhil comes out now and says, “Yes, it was all a prank,” the backlash could be even worse because people would feel they were deliberately manipulated.
So apparently they’re stuck in a situation where telling the truth could damage the channel, but staying silent keeps the controversy alive.
I genuinely don’t understand how content creation can become so important that people are willing to gamble with their own reputation and social image.
What started as a prank allegedly became a PR nightmare because someone inside the team leaked the plan too early. 💀
