Coffee on the Destiny

Someone literally just posted, bewailing the fact that it is difficult to get a good, free, cup of coffee on DCL ships. I’ve never cruised DCL before, so not even sure what all the free options are, but could someone rank them for me, if you are aware of what is offered? I understand that it is totally subjective, but I think there is a general consensus on some of them. I’m not opposed to paying for coffee at the cafés, but my husband and I both like to have morning/morning-ish coffee, and I see that getting a little expensive over a five day stretch. Any info provided would be greatly appreciated! ☺️

Kids Club, Shy Kid

We are sailing DCL for the first time in November. My seven year-old loves playing with other kids, and can make friends fairly easily, but can also be shy and stand back quite a bit. Any other parents out there with shy kids that had trouble adjusting or managing while in the kids club? I’m not really worried about outright bullying, but my son is the type to stand back and let other children go in front of him, in observance of taking turns. Maybe I am overthinking. I just want to make sure that he has a mostly positive experience. And I’m also sure that the cast members keep a watchful eye on interactions. Any and all thoughts and recommendations are welcome! Thank you so much!

Disney Wish Deck 8 Forward

Hello! My husband, son and I are booked on the Disney Wish, November 2026. Can I please trouble a few of you out there in Reddit land, to give me some positive stories about being on deck 8, at the front of the ship, on Disney cruise ships? We are booked in the deluxe family ocean view, which was my preferred stateroom layout. There wasn’t much available, so I chose extreme forward, on deck 8. My biggest concerns are with motion/movement in choppy waters. I understand that when the seas are rough, it can be felt all throughout the ship. Hoping to just get some feedback from some of you that have had a similar state room location, and were fine, in terms of vertigo/motion sickness. I don’t have motion sickness in terms of nausea, but do have random bouts of vertigo. This will be our first cruise, and it’s mostly fear of the unknown. If anyone would be willing to share their experiences, I would greatly appreciate it! TIA!
