Learn to speak a natural Spanish

Hi! 👋🏼

There are countless strategies for learning a language, but here is the truth: for any of them to actually work, you must use what you learn and practice speaking it.

If you already know the grammar rules but still freeze up during real conversations, I am here to help. I offer 1-on-1 personalized Spanish conversation sessions designed to bridge the gap between "studying" Spanish and actually speaking it naturally.

🎯 What our sessions look like:

Real-Life Situations: We will focus on natural, fluid talks and recreate everyday scenarios so you can navigate the real world with ease.

Confidence First: A relaxed environment with zero pressure where you can make mistakes and learn from them at your own pace.

Real-life Vocabulary: You will pick up the real idioms, slang and expressions that native speakers actually use every day.

100% Customized: Every session is tailored specifically around your personal interests, current level and fluency goals.

📩 If you want to have more details about my classes, feel free to leave a comment below or send me a DM. Let's chat!

Quick guide: position of pronouns

Hi! I wrote a slightly longer version of this guide when I noticed that some of my students had trouble understanding where to place the pronouns. I share this mini explanation here because I saw that many also find it confusing. I hope it's useful.

1- The pronoun is attached to the end of the verb:

With verbs in imperative (order): Lávate las manos(wash your hands). Attention! If the command is negative, the pronoun is separate: No te laves las manos (do not wash your hands).

With verbs in infinitive: Me gusta esa mochila pero no puedo comprarla (I like that backpack but can't buy it).

With gerundios: Me compré un libro y pasé la tarde leyéndolo (I bought a book and spent the afternoon reading it).

2- The pronoun is separated and before the verb when it is conjugated:

El se comió toda la pizza (He ate all the pizza).

No lo vi en todo el día (I didn't see him all day).

3- It can go in either position when the infinitic or gerund is accompanied by a conjugated auxiliary verb:

For example, we can say "Quiero comprarla" or "La quiero comprar" because the verb "comprar" (infinitive) is accompanied by the verb "querer" conjugated in the present.

Feel free to ask if you have a question.

P.S. If you need to practice your Spanish, you can send me a message or leave me a comment. I am a conversation tutor in Spanish and help my students practice through natural conversations to gain fluency and review the topics/grammar rules that cause them problems when trying to speak.

What do you find most difficult about Spanish?

Hi!

I'm a native Spanish speaker and I recently created an Instagram account to help Spanish learners understand the Spanish people actually use in everyday conversations.

Most textbooks teach grammar and vocabulary, but I want to focus on things like:

• Natural expressions

• Everyday conversations

• Vocabulary in context

• Common mistakes

• The way native speakers really talk

I'm just getting started, so I'd love to know:

What do you find most difficult about Spanish? (about vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, etc).

I'll use your answers to create future content.

If you're interested, my Instagram is @thespanishwespeak

I'd really appreciate any feedback!
