The Gallaka Inscription of Vatsaraja Pratihar (795 CE): Earliest Known Epigraphic Mention of the Tomar Rajputs

In this inscription, Vatsaraja (Pratihara Rajput) is credited with defeating the Tomar king Vyaghra.

Along with the Tomar king Vyaghra, Vatsaraja claimed victories over the Karkotas, Rashtrakutas, Palas, the Arab army, the Lata ruler, the Kangra Valley ruler, and several hill kings, establishing his authority in all directions.
