1877 Tula. Single shot black powder rifle from the Russian empire. .42 caliber.
Bought a Berdan rifle from a local antique fair. I believe it's a dragoon model? All matching with nice bluing and shiny bore with no sign of pitting. Stock has no cartouche so i believe someone sanded it at some point. Nice rifle otherwise.
I had a spare upper handguard that someone had sanded flat so i thought why not bolt a piece of rail to it. I'd never do that to an original unaltered piece. I think it looks great. How it holds zero remains to be seen.
Had some strenght left after an entire day of hiking so i decided to stop by Yllästunturi for the views. Worth it.
Stopped by the fairground for a few hours. Found some cool coins and jewelry, some silver ones too. 2 Russian coins from 1840's and a Swedish one from 1725. They were very deep. Rings are all junk.
Spotted a mysterious M39 carbine at the range. Bent bolt handle. Were these ever made or is it a gunsmith special? It was a 1944 Sk.Y.
