I light a cigarette, letting the smoke blend with the static. I feel everything. I feel the secret, heavy ache of the world, the cathedrals of rage and holy light that the holy goofballs burned down just to illuminate one single second of absolute truth.

Mysticism fuses with the mud; poetry copulates with thunder. I close my eyes and absorb the primal energy of every single wanderer who ever walked this earth, a psychic vibration shattering the walls of the ego. There is no yesterday. There is no tomorrow. There is only this sacred, mad rush toward the light, while Jimmy Page’s guitar rips the sky wide open, screaming that we are free. We are eternal. We are the beat.
