Sou do centro de Lisboa, tenho 23 anos e estou prestes a terminar a minha licenciatura. Neste momento estou mesmo a tentar sair de casa dos meus pais, mas sinceramente sinto que em Lisboa está impossível.

Por isso comecei a pensar seriamente em mudar-me para outra cidade em Portugal... já fiz este post no sub de Leiria, mas como também já tinha pensado em Aveiro, aqui vai!

A minha pergunta para quem vive aí é:
- Como está a situação de emprego em Aveiro?
- Há oportunidades nas áreas de marketing/ comunicação e IT/sistemas de informação?
- Os jovens costumam ficar aí ou acabam por ir todos para Lisboa ou Porto?
- Acham que é uma cidade com qualidade de vida para alguém nos 20s?
- E realisticamente, quanto fica o custo de vida? (rendas, despesas, etc.)

Gostava mesmo de ouvir opiniões honestas, de coisas boas e coisas menos boas, de quem vive aí no dia a dia.

Just wanted to share this in case it helps someone waiting for an AIMA appointment in Lisbon/Portugal.

If you already filled out the AIMA contact form a long time ago and never got a reply or appointment, try submitting it again.

I originally applied at the beginning of March for my husband’s residence card process (Article 15 / family member of EU citizen). We never received any reply and were basically just waiting and hoping something would happen.

A few days ago, I commented in a Facebook group asking if anyone had any tips, and someone told me they had reapplied recently and got an appointment notification the next day.

So yesterday night (around midnight), I decided to try again, even though I had already applied months ago.

Today, I received an appointment for October.

Not saying this will work for everyone, but if you’ve been stuck waiting with no updates, it might be worth trying again instead of just waiting indefinitely.

I posted earlier today about being in the queue at AIMA Anjos with an appointment :')

It turns out that the appointment we had was actually under Article 90 - study residence permit, from a request we made for my husband more than 7 months ago. This was not clear in the email at all.

Because of that, they sent us away empty-handed, even though we had all the documents with us to start the process for the Article 15 residence card for family members of EU citizens. For context, I am a Portuguese citizen and my husband is a foreign citizen.

I also submitted the Article 15 request through the AIMA portal on March 3rd, but we still haven’t received any response... and that is the appointment email we have to wait for!

Has anyone submitted around the same time and already received an update?

Hi everyone, I’m currently in line for AIMA in Anjos, Lisbon, and there are probably more than 300 people here. I have an appointment today at 12:00, but I’m not sure how this usually works since it’s my first time.

Do people with appointments still need to stay in the main line? Or is there a separate process/check-in for scheduled appointments?

Would really appreciate any advice from people who’ve been here before 😭
