Anything I should change before I buy

So I'm building my first Pc and I'm aiming for a budget of anywhere from 700-1200. For my CPU I was thinking the ryzen 5500, however, I know nothing about motherboards. Some motherboards that could pair well with that could be a great help. Also I'm very willing to upgrade my CPU as I'm hoping for a CPU heavy build as I really only play CPU heavy games
