Nature does not read your LighterPack spreadsheet. Stop being stupid light.
The ultralight movement has devolved into an expensive consumerist contest and online vanity trap. Lying about a 6 lb pack to impress strangers won't save your spine or your life in the wilderness.
Universal internet advice ignores geography, a minimalist kit built for California will give you hypothermia in the bone chilling humidity of Scotland. Stop sacrificing long term health on tiny sleeping pads for a fake metric, and stop subsidizing your poor packing by begging other hikers for gear.
True ultralight is about using your skills and brain to adapt to your specific environment, not entering a spending, lying, or suffering contest.
