LET’S GET INTO IT!! 👀

At first glance, this bag is SEXY. 🖤 The way the light hits the leather at different angles is so cool it gives the bag that gorgeous, glossy, slightly distressed look that really makes the Le City stand out.

Right out of the package, there was a very slight fufu/packaging smell, but nothing overwhelming to me. Definitely not one of those bags that knocks you over when you open the box. 😂

THE LEATHER & CONSTRUCTION

The leather is soft and squishy, exactly the kind of feel I want from this style. The hardware is beautiful, the stitching looks clean and precise, and overall the construction feels really nice especially considering the price point.

The inside is clearly coded and branded, and the bag came with its information pamphlet as well.

One thing I noticed is the heart shaped mirror. I believe the authentic Le City may come with a rectangular mirror rather than the heart shape, so that could be one difference to keep in mind. (Correct me if I’m wrong!)

💰 VALUE FOR MONEY

At approximately $2,800 USD for the authentic versus $237 USD shipped from Apple Factory, this honestly feels like a bang for your buck bag.

For $237 shipped, I’m impressed with what showed up at my door. The leather, hardware, stitching, overall appearance and feel all hit the right notes for me.

Yep! As a PLK diehard and serious collector of both Authentic Takashi Murakami pieces and PLK Takashi Murakami pieces, I decided to step outside my usual lane and review this beautiful LV x TM Speedy Trunk 20 rep from Royal Factory.

Before we get into it, the Authentic is listed online at $14,300 USD. 😳

From PSPs to the bag arriving at my door: only 9 days and that was even with a long weekend in between!

👀 FIRST IMPRESSIONS

At first glance, this bag is absolutely GORGEOUS.

From the colorful Blanc Monogram canvas, to the beautiful gold hardware detailing, to that adorable studded bow tag, this bag is seriously a dream. 🌈✨

The first thing I noticed when handling it was the weight and construction. It has that solid, quality built feeling to it. The bag opens up firmly and smoothly and doesn’t feel flimsy or cheaply constructed at all.

The canvas colors look correct, and one detail I was especially impressed by is that the canvas even has that beautiful authentic style sheen to it.

🧵 STITCHING, GLAZING & CONSTRUCTION

The stitching is neat and consistent throughout the entire exterior and interior.

The thread isn’t overly yellow, and I couldn’t find any noticeable stitching mistakes.

The edge coat/glazing is also very consistent. It isn’t running over the edges, overly thick, or excessively bright all little details that can make a huge difference in the overall appearance of a bag.

🔐 HARDWARE

The front latch is made from solid metal, feels substantial, and is very finely engraved.

The engraving is honestly done to an authentic level of precision. The latch also opens and closes smoothly and easily with no sticking or difficulty.

The strap hooks are solid and tight with no wonkiness or loose feeling.

Inside the bag is a beautiful gold metal plaque, giving the interior that extra luxury touch. The plaque engraving is also neat, crisp and well executed.

🤎 VACHETTA & BOW TAG

The bag features real vachetta leather on the handles, trim, bow tag and strap.

The bow itself has the correct shape, and the studs and LV emblem on the tag feel nice and solid.

This is one of those details that really makes the entire design pop and gives this little bag so much personality.

📦 PACKAGING

The bag arrived well protected with foam coverings and a dust bag.

It also came with a care booklet and tag.

Everything was packaged securely and arrived safely.

🔎 DID I FIND A FLAW?

Yes — and I want this review to be completely transparent.

I noticed a very slight misalignment of a flower on the bottom front corner. This is something I personally overlooked when reviewing my PSPs.

However, this is also important:

The PSPs matched the bag I received exactly.

What I saw and approved before shipping is exactly what showed up at my door. There were no unpleasant surprises or differences between the PSPs and the actual bag.

⭐ FINAL VERDICT

After having the bag in hand and really looking it over, I can confidently say this is a high quality, beautifully constructed bag that I feel was worth the price.

And coming from someone who is a serious PLK lover and collector, that’s saying something. 😂

Would I confidently wear this bag?

ABSOLUTELY.

I’d confidently carry it the same way I would carry one of my PLK pieces.

Is it absolutely flawless? No. I found that tiny canvas alignment issue, and I’m always going to point something like that out in an honest review.

But looking at the overall construction, canvas, colors, sheen, vachetta, stitching, glazing, hardware, engravings, weight and presentation, I’m extremely impressed with what I received for $299 USD + $50 shipping.

💕 MY EXPERIENCE WITH BELLA

The TS I used for this purchase was Bella, and my experience with her was excellent.

She was kind, patient, responsive and extremely speedy with shipping.

From PSPs to receiving my bag in only nine days despite a long weekend I couldn’t ask for much better than that.
