Is Robert Virves ready for the WRC?

I was wondering about this since a lot of people reacted to my M-Sport prediction post for next season on r/WRC with a bit of uncertainty regarding Robert. Personally, I believe he could become the next big thing in the Estonian and Baltic rally scene. That being alongside, Sesks. I really rate Virves and I'm a bit disappointed not seeing him on much of the coverage this weekend. He deserves the WRC-2 title as much as people may not agree. This is my own opinion. Thanks guys, peace out!

The moment that defined the outcome of the 2026 season

Just if any of you needed reminding how incredible the Power Stage was. This'll be probably go down as the best PS defining moment ever, when we look back on it in many moons to come. This is what pressure does to you, this is what makes our championship one of the very best globally.

MY 2027 M-Sport lineup predictions

My predictions:

Sesks (full-time)

Virves (full-time)

Fourmaux (???)

Munster (selected events)

I was thinking that Fourmaux could return to M-Sport due to the uncertainty of Hyundai staying in the championship past this season. He has also stated on Instagram that it is "his last dance with Hyundai". We could go into the speculations of Hyundai departing but I feel that's unnecessary. I do think Fourmaux will return to M-Sport possibly next season, regardless if Hyundai remains or goes to focus on Genesis in WEC. Let me know your thoughts, peace out!

WSR and the 3 series Tourer for 2027?

I was wondering since the current chassis is around 7 years old, could a switch to the 3 series tourer be on the cards? In 2014, Team Dynamics made a similar switch from the Civic Type R to the Civic Tourer. It was competitive with Shedden but that was 12 years ago and not the current world of touring cars we see on our telly's every weekend. West Surrey (if they are to stay) should move to the 3 tourer as it would be nice to see more of a change up in the paddock rather than the same old sedan we have seen since the start of the 2019 season. I know the 330i has undergone a semi rebuild last season but the chassis is aging and not as competitive as it would've been if WSR re-considered their options with the tourer or another BMW model, maybe a return to the 1 series?

There is also impending rumours of a switch to Volvo, but I think it'd be best to stay with German technologies, as they have for over 13 years.

Let me know what you all think, peace out.

I just wanted to remind you all of this masterpiece

Absolute masterpiece of the ages, that Grönholm created during Rally Türkiye in 2004. Something that may be a legend to us all.

Dexter Patterson clinches the Jack Sears Trophy

Dexter Patterson has won the 2026 Jack Sears trophy after coming 18th in race 1. This got him over the line after he accumulated an unassailable points gap to Lewis Selby, his next closest JST rival. This comes after James Dorlin of Restart Racing stepped away from the championship after Knockhill due to budgeting problems, basically giving Patterson the trophy. Dexter's best result of the year came at Knockhill with 4th in race 3. I think Dexter has put in some solid shifts for Power Maxed Racing and I hope we see a podium from him at some point soon. Well done to Dexter Patterson!!

If Jordan was to stay at WSR in 2020, would he have won a 2nd title?

Honestly, looking back at 2020, Pirtek pulling out right before the season started is still one of the biggest shames in recent BTCC history. AJ was absolutely flying in that 330i.

Think about 2019 for a second. He literally missed three races after that horrific Donington crash, spent the rest of the year playing catch-up, won six races—more than anyone else on the grid—and still came within two points of taking the title off Colin. Heading into year two with WSR, with a full year of development on that BMW chassis under their belts? He would’ve been lethal.

Ash Sutton only beat Turkington by 14 points in the end. Given how condensed that 2020 calendar was, a 14-point gap is nothing. AJ’s racecraft alone at the front would’ve completely flipped those numbers. Plus, remember that rain-soaked finale at Brands Hatch GP? Colin struggled all weekend to get the BMW hooked up in the wet compared to Ash’s Infiniti. AJ in the wet was a completely different beast—he almost certainly would’ve dragged more pace out of the 330i in those conditions than Colin managed.

The big question mark is whether WSR having two title contenders in the garage would’ve ended up shooting them both in the foot. AJ and Colin would've constantly been stealing wins and taking points off each other, which might have actually handed Ash a cleaner run at it. Plus, the ballast rules back then would've meant both BMWs were carrying max weight into almost every weekend.

Even so, AJ was in the form of his life, and that BMW suited him down to the ground. It’s genuinely one of the biggest 'what ifs' of modern BTCC.

Do you reckon AJ would’ve done the business, or was Ash in that Infiniti just unstoppable that year regardless?

Best car in the game?

For me it’d be the VW Polo WRC and the Yaris Rally1. I really think they both handle fantastically under all surfaces and weather conditions, available in game. My most successful car in Generations is the Polo WRC. I think that it mirrors its real world counterpart. What I like about the Yaris is that you can throw it in hairpins without it locking up or being too heavy on the handbrake. Feel free to tell me your thoughts.

Does anyone have a 2012 spotters guide?

I need a 2012 spotters guide for one of my projects but I have tried to use the Wayback Machine to source this info (as this is my usual route) however, nothing seems to want to cooperate with my research. I would use a programme but I don't have a 2012 programme to hand. Google doesn't throw anything up either. Any help/guidance is appreciated, thank you.

Lineup predictions for 2027?

I KNOW IT'S NOT EVEN BRANDS GP YET, I WILL FACE THAT. But, I just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on next season, with regards to the new regs. Who stays? Who moves on/dropped? Any surprising returns/new drivers?

Which team ran the best liveries in the 2010s?

I think the obvious answer may be WSR but 888 had some good ones too.

Best driver(s) of the 2010s (that aren't the usual ones)?

I want to know what everyone thinks. Personally, I believe that Tordoff was overlooked by many as so was Jack Goff and Austin. Tordoff made an impact straight away when he joined MG 888 in 2013 with his pole and win at Snetterton back then. Unfortunately, I don't see many people on the sub talk about the mid 2010s and I think there should be more recognition for these years and the drivers the came and went too. Times have changed but I want to know who surprised you the most.

Lewis Gilbert has won the Wingfoot Award for his performance

Really enjoyed Gilbert's performances yesterday, despite the other half of WSR not showing up as expected at Croft. Winning in the JST after 4 rounds in the touring car world and only coming in from GB3 (his first season in single seaters this year) shows that this championship could go somewhere in the future. That is if the young drivers we have in the series keep developing and exceling. Overall, Lewis deserves this for his effort and perseverance he has showed after his blow at Donington GP race 1.

2015: Meet the Drivers

I found this video a few months ago and I thought it was a blast from the past. It's crazy how much has changed in the championship. So, here's a bit of nostalgia from 2015.
