Head injured due to negligence
Location: Texas, United States of America
On April, 8th 2025,
My dad and I were tackled and I was sent to jail for 3-4 months facing felony charges (which have been dismissed.)
The officer was off duty and moved on my street and has harassed me multiple times since.
I was the only person who was bloodied up and I was still sent to jail. The guy tackled my dad and I when I had my dad by the arm because he tripped out of the garage and I caught him just before he faceplanted into the driveway.
Nonetheless mine head was crushed under my dad because I was about to let him hit the ground after all the damn work I had just put in.
I blacked out on impact.
Then my other neighbor who ran over saw me I guess squaring up to Joe or something and he tackled me into the smooth stone garage. Hitting my head even harder.
I unblacked out with my legs scissored around the other neighbors neck. All on my own property. Then I relaxed and felt defeated all at the same time to get cuffed and sent to jail for the case to be dropped because my dad started idealizing during the PD. This is beyond upsetting.
I DO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE POLICE. But the man who tackled my daddy needs to be held accountable at least.
Since getting out it has only caused me working to odds end to still have nothing. I had just graduated with a bachelors degree in November 2024. To which the officer who tackled my dad and I, told me drop out and focus on “real work” roughly Three months before I graduated nearing $60k in student debt. Smart?
My head hurts and it’s getting harder day by day. They didn’t scan my head at the hospital that night and I sat in jail with a swollen head and couldn’t sleep at night for over two months and since have been experiencing vertigo and stuff. I have not had any head imaging done……….I do not mean to be vulgar but my feelings are hurt. My rights have been violated. As well as I cannot get anyone to take me seriously in a legal or lawsuit pursuit. My parents and friends tell me to do something but every one I’ve talked to regarding legal advice has turned me away.
