Tonverk - potential use for perform mode

So I'm not saying that the perform mode seems a tiny bit redundant with with the memorise/recall functions but it did make me think...

The Tonverk has a button marked perform. The Tonverk also has 8 entry data knobs and 8 instrument tracks.

Just imagine if perform mode brought up all of the macros of one type and you could perform on the macros with the data knobs. Surely this would be super simple (implementation wise) and would be one of the biggest upgrades for live performance.

(as an aside, can anyone suggest some uses where perform mode gives you advantages or different use cases vs memorise/recall?). I get that it does in affect give you 2 states to revert to (but in a somewhat limited way) but this does seem somewhat niche.

Synthesis on Tonverk vs Digitone 2 and kit advice

Hi all,

Recently got a Tonverk and am loving it. My tastes are pretty varied but primarily stuff that is beaty, atmospheric and most importantly melodic (always been into the more melodic side of industrial/EBM for eg). TBH I pretty much like anything electronic that has a heavy melodic content. I also love the idea of adding things like piano/strings etc hence the Tonverk.

I've managed to already convince myself that I have no read need for a Digitakt 2 as I don't particularly need to manipulate samples really and would probably be using it as a basic drum machine.

I was hoping to get peoples thoughts on the quality and versatility of the Tonverk's Wavefinder engine vs the Digitone 2's FM. I'm hoping to switch off my GAS for the Dn as well for a good while (although I do think one day I'd end up with one).

I'd never really thought about the Syntakt but it occurred to me yesterday that it actually fulfils both of the main things that I wanted in terms of the Tonverk; offloading standard drum duties from the Tonverk (especially now that it has sample side of things along with the sound engines) and adding some nice fat analogue sounds.

So yeah. I was hoping to get peoples opinion on a Tonverk/Syntakt/Novation launchkey 61 mk4 combination as the core setup and mow much tonal versatility I'd lose without the Digitone 2.

(note - I am well aware of the priorities that should be placed on keeping things simple and mastering a few pieces of kit and the fact that it is the musician that makes good music...just trying to settle my OCD brain and capability FOMO)
