Hypertrophic/Keloid Scar Advice? Is it possible for them to go away? Dermatologist told me it’s impossible.
I feel like I am losing hope. I am 13 months PP. since 8 weeks PP I have been going to pelvic floor Therepy, and have had a therapist help me with scar mobilization, stretching, cupping, etc all of the things. Every week for the past year. I have also used the silicon scar tape. Just a few weeks ago I received Triamcinolone shots from a dermatologist, and all they did was make me gain weight due to the tremendous appetite I received from them. They also made me sick first day.
The dermatologist who gave me the shots told me it’s stuck like that. I asked about a plastic surgeon, and if it were possible if one could work on my scar. She sighed and told me it would just heal this way again and told me she’s sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that I’m stuck with my scar like this for life.
Maybe I’m having a really hard time accepting this reality, but I’d like to thing that someone out there has been able to recover from a scar like this. Here is what it looks like today.
