Mulholland Drive Blu-ray
Just bought my first David Lynch film why is there no chapter selection I watched half of it and then I had to go do some important things that couldn’t wait and then I wanted to watch the next half so I figured just go to chapters and then I realized there’s no chapters. Is there a reason for this is there like a secret way to access them.
In the third act of blue velvet, Dorothy comes in saying “he gave me a disease”. What disease is she talking about? Was she talking about an actual disease or was she just saying it like a metaphor what was going on? Was she talking about Jeffrey or was she talking about Frank? Who is she talking about and what was going on?
Really wanna get Twin Peaks on Blu-ray but I heard that there is a huge box set that comes with Fire walk with me the original two seasons and the return but then I looked more into it and there’s a criterion release of firework with me so do I get both or should I be OK with just the box set because I don’t really wanna buy two copies of the same stuff
The first movie I plan to watch is high and low as it’s the only one I haven’t seen yet
I’ve been looking forward to Mulholland Drive the most
All of these were blind buys, except for 12 angry men, the graduate and the breakfast club. The only reason why I bought them was because I knew that criterion was all about the best films ever made so I was willing to take the chance.
The next one I really wanna add is definitely eraserhead, but it could basically be any other David Lynch film
I’ve just started getting into David Lynch so far I’ve seen eraserhead and Mulholland Drive and so far both of them have been 10 out of 10 masterpieces.(though very confusing lol) so I was wondering what order should I watch them? I know they’re not connected so it doesn’t really matter, but I wanna get into the serious stuff first and then the lighter stuff so what should I watch?
Also, the images are just my letterboxd reviews cause I thought they would be funny to post here
edit: I did not actually watch a eraserhead on my phone. I just thought it would be funny to put in the review.
I feel kind of sad considering the fact I can’t watch another one of these, but I’m happy to finish all of these were pretty good movies. Definitely my favorite director. Right next to David Lynch, and PTA.
Big fan of Stanley Kubrick my favorite being eyes wide shut. This is my entire collection of everything that I own. Duplicates are mainly because I have a big box out of Kubrick movies or I just didn’t have the updated better version at the time.
