i played the heck out of this game as a kid and this map always struck me as completely odd in a game "mostly" grounded in reality (i know its not really the most realistic mx game). It is a rather fantastical map set in egyptian ruins for some reason and one part has strange chants that can be heard if you stay still
Side note: the roar that occurs at around 20 seconds i have NEVER heard and i tried to replicate it but couldn't
