First ever linocut

First attempt at linocut. A little messier than I hoped. Could do with more clearing away in the empty spaces. Also, mistakenly bought silver ink instead of black ink, but luckily had some black construction paper.

Open to feedback or tips. The lines on the pelican turned out a bit thicker than intended. Is that just the carving, or would amount of pressure/ink make them thicker too?
