Just started this journey today as I've been looking for a way to study and reinvigorate my practice. I'm reading one entry in The Book of Symbols per day and drawing, pulling cards + interpreting them based on my book reading.
The spread I'm using is:
What aspect of today's symbol is most alive for me in this moment?
What is this symbol reflecting back to me about myself?
If anyone has this book and would like to take part in this with me, let me know. I'd love to share readings with other people as I go
I finally have my two favorite albums of all time, Little Brother's The Listening + Jodeci's Forever My Lady.
I think more than any other album I've heard, The Listening sounds like North Carolina in a way I don't believe I can adequately describe; more than likely that's the nostalgia speaking. I grew up on this shit. I still remember hearing Speed for the first time in my bedroom.
My uncles used to take me to the barbershop when I was little + they'd play a lot of 90s R+B. I got in trouble with my aunt for singing Jodeci lyrics, but Forever my Lady remains, for me, the pinnacle of that time in the genre.
