New to this!
Hi everyone, I have a 1.5 year old pit lab mix that we rescued. He began having seizures in July. He began with a single occurrence, made it two weeks until he had two in one day (which is when the vet prescribed keppra), made it another two weeks and had two seizures and a third while at the emergency vet (he was pheno loaded and then began pheno and keppra). He had been fine and then acted a bit tired the last 24hours until today when he had another. This is three weeks after his emergency vet visit. They said that management would be him having a seizure once a month, however I feel like this is too soon for him to be having more due to him now being on both meds. They have given him a diagnosis of epilepsy but did mention that if they continue and the meds don’t help that we could be looking at other issues. Just looking for advice on if anyone has experienced more seizures this quickly after getting on meds. He is booked in for us to hopefully get meds adjusted asap. Thanks :)
