[LA] Thinking of starting Links Awakening on switch 1 for first real LoZ game
Hey yall! I’ve been on the sub long enough to get a general idea of which games to avoid playing first when starting LoZ, and also an idea about some of the fan favorites. I just finished up school, and will have more time on my hands, and I’m looking to finally dive into LoZ. For reference, I played a little bit of WW growing up, but didn’t really get very far. The series has interested me greatly these past few years, and I’m stoked to have more time to dive into this series.
I currently have a Switch 1. I have a GBA, GameCube, DS, and Wii buried at my parents house, but I figured while I just re-setup my Switch at my new house, that I break into some of those games first. Every few months I would go out and get a Switch game, so I have acquired every title of LoZ released on the Switch 1. I also have NSO.
I do not have the best reasoning for picking the switch 1 LA. I know OoT is a crowd favorite, but I thought getting at least one other game under my belt before playing a classic like that would be better. I also see a lot of recs for BoTW, but I’m also leaning towards a more classic Zelda formula.
Please let me know if you feel like this is an adequate start to the series!!
