Great shade of green!

Picked this up as a parts or repair. Said it won't keep running.

The minute hand was loose enough that it tilted down, just to stop the second hand. Guy would adjust the time, and the second hand would end up stopping again.

I just removed all the hands and put them back on in the right position.

Came with the original strap, box and paperwork. Excellent condition too.

I used a nice Horween leather. Brown really goes nice with that dial!

This is the second Navy collection I bought with the same problem months back. The seller just assumed the movement was getting bad.

Who else has a good watch rescue story?!

I have since the helmets first came out a few years ago. One month I'll have a big ol' Russian diver in it, then like this racing watch that is meant for it. I think I'll get a couple more.

This is 50 yrs old this year! Original bracelet. Hardly a scratch on the whole watch. Crystal has some desk rash, but not bad at all! Actually dated 1976 on the plastic double battery tray. I was 3 years old when this hit the shelf! Lol

The silver one is actually all Stainless, case and back! I've only seen the gold ones. So I grabbed it off eBay for very little listed as parts watch.

The movement was actually so corroded it ate away the electrodes, and back of the LED screen...

Then I found another, gold plated base metal, that was a parts watch for $15. You could tell it was well loved. But the movement looked super clean. It was missing the battery hold down, and a pusher contact.

I took the parts off the silvers mvmt, cleaned all the contacts and adjusted everything that was in contact without using the pushers.

BADA BING, BADA BOOM... She's running perfect!!

I'll call it a win, even though there wasn't any soldering or major repair I can show off, 😏

It's quite small for a men's watch, so I won't be keeping it.

Just happy to keep an old watch going instead of going in the trash!

33mm wide 38mm lug to lug.

Here's one of the earliest Invictas..

Near mint in gunmetal...

Nice little gem.. 💪🏻

Of course the original strap crumbled and fell apart...terrible straps the first 10 yrs..

For those that don't know, this is the type of build Invicta Use to do, not that long ago, early 2000's...

The build Quality in hand is a big difference, but check out the aluminum mvmt spacer that's actually held in place. That movement doesn't have any way to move around, and don't split over time like the plastic ones. I don't have a newer one on a bracelet right now, but the stainless feels twice as heavy..

If you can find these in good physical condition, with a 4 digit model number, pick one up, and you'll be surprised.

I'm sure most of the seasoned Invicta collectors out there know.

I've been enjoying looking and sometimes commenting, so here's one I found years ago in Northeast Iowa, on a gravel road.

NOT wet in any photos. It's just very waxy looking and feeling.

I personally think it's an agate. Maybe a little moss in the milky bands?

I've rock hounded for 40 years, and have found some blueish churt but this is the only banded one with such dark colors. Little host rock on top, looks like sandstone. Very crumbly.

It's about 1.5 x 1 x 1 inch.

I should polish it. Might make nice jewelry.

Ok experts... What is it?

I usually don't buy novelty watches.. I might wear it for any space launches in the future, but it's soooo thick, but cool! 44mm... 18mm thick...I couldn't wear it for very long. Real meteorite.. crystals embedded around the case like little lander windows... NH automatic... New with box... A friend bought out another seller that's retiring... He sells to me for cost ($60) and I fix his watches, win win...

Just kidding, not my Invictas...Just got another batch of mostly Invicta from a large volume eBay seller.. Mostly quartz... These have numerous different problems, from crystal replacement, hands put back on, broken pushers, broken electrodes, exploded batteries, broken crowns, movement swaps (if the watch is worth it), and more...

If you have any of these problems, or something else, DM me, text or email! I'm cheap!

Or if you need advice on a repair, or how to do something, I can try and help! That's free! 😁
