Just because nu-metal stopped appearing on normie Billboard charts doesn't mean that it had zero relevancy in the mid-late 2000s
I've been lurking and noticed the notion that nu-metal vanished into thin air after the early 2000s. There are countless nu-metal AMVs from the mid-late 2000s on YouTube that debunk this, they're a dime a dozen.
It wasn't mainstream anymore, but it wasn't niche either, it was still moderately popular, especially outside of America. Emo becoming popular wasn't an overnight thing either, bands like Jimmy Eat World were already gaining popularity in the early 2000s.
Not to sound like a music elitist, but I feel like most users here are Americans who only listen to music from the Billboard Hot 100, anything else just doesn't exist to them.
