When Citi Bike is way less expensive, way more people ride!

We're fighting for 45-minute rides to be just $3, so you don't have to break the bank to get around by bike. New York City has the most expensive bike share program in the U.S., because Citi Bike is the only bike share program in the country that doesn't receive any public subsidy. It's time to fix that. Join the City Bike Riders Union!

Why did Manhattan Summer Streets only happen three times this summer?

New York City should have it weekly — like they do in other cities like Bogotá, Colombia, which gets 75 miles of car-free streets every Sunday. Mayor Mamdani, what are you waiting for? We want car-free Summer Streets every weekend! Sign our More Than Summer Streets petition.

WEDNESDAY: $3 Citi Bike campaign launch party!

Our $3 Citi Bike campaign launch party is TOMORROW NIGHT! It’s at a bar in Brooklyn called 3 Dollar Bill, and tickets are — you guessed it — just 3 bucks.

We’ll start the night with DJ Teo Camacho at 6 p.m. Then, we’ll hear from elected officials like Senators Julia Salazar, Jabari Brisport, and Kristen Gonzalez, Assembly Member Claire Valdez, and Council Members Lincoln Restler, Crystal Hudson, and Christopher Marte, getting the room of hundreds of bike share riders hyped to make Citi Bike affordable again. Finally, we’ll all dance to DJ Mickey Perez (of Public Service fame)!

It’s a night you won’t want to miss, so get your $3 ticket now, which doubles as your entry into a raffle for a free Citi Bike membership (winners must be physically present to win this prize)!

While you’re getting excited for tomorrow, take a look at your Citi Bike ride history and find the most expensive ride you’ve ever taken. Bring the screenshot to the party, and the person with the priciest ride will win a free “City Bike Riders Union” t-shirt!

Electric Citi Bike rides have nearly tripled in price in just a few years.

A 45-minute ride on an electric Citi Bike now costs members $12.15 — nearly three times the $4.50 charge from just six years ago.

If you’ve been watching your Citi Bike commute get more and more expensive, this is the party for you:

August 12 at 6 p.m. at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn. Get your ticket for just 3 bucks — the price that a 45-minute ride should be.

Tonight, Manhattan Community Board 7 will decide the future of the 72nd Street Safety Project

This redesign would transform the street to better serve the nearly 75% of people who arrive by walking, biking, or public transit.

Opponents are organizing to stop the project. We need supporters in the room. Show up early tonight at 6 p.m. to make sure you get a spot. And don't forget to register to speak!
