So I have had a TM 31 for around 13 years now and it is just starting to die. Am debating getting a new TM. I use it once maybe twice a week for basic functions eg soup, rice cooking, baking and the odd recipe. I don’t use it for making full meals often.

With the newer models do you have to follow recipes on this cookidoo function or can you just manually input things?

Is it worth getting a TM 7 or going for perhaps a refurbished earlier model?

For reference I live in Australia, haven’t been to a thermomix demo in 10 years ( and am not interested in going to one/having one).
