New to Tennis. How are the communities and fan bases.

I love sports a lot so when I was in italy the only sport on tv at night time in the restaurants was tennis since the washington 500 was going on. It was really entertaining so when I came back home to new york i decided why not get invested into it since the Us open is coming up. When I start liking a sport I really get into it quick and obsessed with it. I chose my favorite player to be Ben Shelton. You guys let me know is it a good decision or bad or something controversial with it. I’m also bummed out that I missed the prime of Rafael and Novak because I like to appreciate greatness of athletes in any sport. I would appreciate any cool facts or tips or anything for this sport in general. Who are the players that people dislike? Are there any toxic fan bases? Am I getting to know tennis at a good time or bad time? Is Rafael Jodar really gonna be like that in the future? Why do people dislike seeing sinner in the finals?

Also I really like watching Barbara Krejčiková, Mayor Sherif, Linda Noskoca and Diana Shnaider for the WTA.

Oh and I also watched the finals for the Washington one for both women and men’s it was good.

Is carlos really really good? I haven’t seen a match of his yet.

My post got taken down in the “Tennis” community so I hope this works
