Has anyone done a perfect stable undervolting setup to increase the frame rates for games ? Please share your settings if you can.

Trying to squeeze the maximum performance out of the 2024 Zephyrus G14. Is the undervolting only for CPU or could we increase the boost for GPU as well?

I don’t have any thermal throttling issues as it always hovers around the 79-82 degree Celsius mark while gaming with 99 percent GPU usage. Would I have any benefits for FPS if I undervolt without having any thermal throttling issues ?

The main reason I’m asking is cos I’ve been playing Forza Horizon 6 and there has been stutters and FPS drops in high settings with the GPU is pulling only 70-75W compared to Forza Horizon 5 pulling almost 80-94W.

Hello all, I’m a bit confused with how the USB-C speed is rated on the laptop sides.

The left one, which I’ve understood is only connected to the iGPU(AMD RADEON 780M), however the USB-C on the right side is for dGPU(RTX 4060)

I’m using the graphics mode on ultimate with gHelper rather than standard to get the maximum out of the 4060.

I’m kinda confused if the right side port is slower as it’s only 10Gbps compared to the 40Gbps port on the right which also has power delivery.

Bought the 1440p monitor a month ago to play newer titles with some 20 percent performance increase with the slightly lower resolution than the laptop display of 1800p.

I’ve been playing Forza Horizon 6 since the 19th when it was released on steam and the recommended settings were ‘High’. Still I managed to tweak some settings to target 60fps by changing most options to ultra ( texture, screen space reflections, SSGI, Shadows, Night Shadows, volumetric fog etc.) some settings to Extreme( particle effects, lens effects, car detail, car reflection quality etc.) and some settings to High ( LOD, shader quality, deformable terrain)
I’m using DLSS on balanced with 0.6 sharpness and Frame Gen on Auto. This gets me around 65-72fps but the pop-ins on textures and some trees and input lag which is noticeable breaks the immersion. I badly want to use the DLAA without frame gen if it allows me as it’s the best visually appealing result. But it only gets me to 48-59fps without frame gen when I start the game and keeps getting worse as I play on or during the night time.

I’ve also noticed on the system tray that the dGPU is used by msedge.exe, steam and some other apps which I don’t remember now, maybe they’re using up the available memory from the 8 gigs as well?

I’m using the laptop always plugged in with a llano V12 cooler on 1400rpm.

1. Is the 10Gbps port limiting the transfer rate of data to the monitor from the RTX4060? Should it have been the 40Gbps port for the dGPU ?

2. If I connect the USB-C/display port to the left side, will it have better or worse performance ? Would it power up the 4060 while gaming in tandem with the iGPU ?

Maybe I’m just frustrated to see a higher number on the other port which I can’t use and it’s annoying.

3.Anyone playing FH6 on the G14 and have similar or better results ?
