I haven't seen any mention of it on here yet, but what is everyone's opinion of CJ playing a lot more fiddle? I personally think that it's cool, but he's also about as good as it gets on the mando. I'd rather see them just add a fiddle to the band.

I've had this conversation quite a few times at shows recently. What is/are your favorite songs that Magoo covers? My picks are all Apologies, Black Clouds, and New Country Blues. That NCB at Cervantes on 11/21 with Clay from Shadowgrass on banjo was perhaps the best NCB I've ever seen/heard.

Saw CWE at Etown Hall in Boulder last night. They have a helluva nice flow. It's an extremely organic sound and they open it up quite a bit as well. They played a normal 1st set and then came back out and did a Jerry 2nd set. Beautiful music! All of them are excellent musicians and they have a few really solid vocalists. Check them out if you haven't already! They bridge the divide between Trad Grass and Prog Grass..Best of both worlds!

Yo! What do y'all think about the boys not releasing shows for the past month? Idk about you guys, but I'm jonesing for some new shows! It's also kind of strange to me that they haven't released any shows, not one, from June. Any ideas out there as to why?

Howdy yall! Anyone else out there ordering the new Billy skate shoes? They look pretty slick to me so I put my order in. They will apparently arrive in October but dawn is can't wait!

Who else here is heading to the Ogden in December? I was lucky enough to snag a 2-day pass last week and will be attending both December shows, but I'm super pumped about 12/5 as I'm taking my older two kids (22,18) to the Ogden. I took them both to the Cervantes shows last November, and my daughter (18) has seen Dead and Company and the Cheese a few times with me as well. I can't wait for this show and am just enjoying every minute of this magical ride. I'm guessing that i have given hugs tomany of the folks who will read this! Love yall!

Hey now! Were any of my fellow Magoobers at the MGU show last night or the night before at the Mish? It was my 3rd time seeing them and they have grown quite a bit over the past few years. Great time. My four faves outside of Billy are Magoo, Shadowgrass, MGU, and Broken Compass. All of them bring their own vibe which is awesome. Being a CO guy Magoo is at the top of the list for me but I love them all. Happy Father's Day to all of my fellow dads out there!
