Trump’s the worst con man in the world. But he gained support among my working class neighbors because they were pissed off at a rigged system that was stealing their time and livelihoods. For that, I can’t blame them. This campaign for governor is about making their lives better, too.

I recently convened a roundtable in Lewiston to hear directly from residents of mobile home parks. Their concerns about mismanagement from private equity *and* local slumlords have gone largely ignored in the conversation about our state's housing crisis. That needs to change.

By giving the state of Maine the right of first refusal on mobile home parks, we can block private equity firms from buying them up, jacking up rents, eliminating services, and displacing folks who have nowhere else to go. While the fight against private equity is only one piece in the larger housing crisis puzzle, it's a piece far too many are ignoring.

I am going to tax millionaires and corporations so we can rebuild Maine for working class families like mine. If that makes me “radical,” I don’t give a damn.

Spotted in Mount Vernon, Maine! Any Mainers in this sub, be sure to get out and vote early for the two Bernie-backed candidates on the ballot!

Thank you, Maine DSA, for endorsing my campaign for Governor!

To the loggers, farmers, teachers, truck drivers, nurses, postal workers, shipbuilders, childcare providers, and everyone else who makes this state run while getting run down in the process: let’s take back what’s ours. I ask for your vote in the Democratic primary on June 9th.

Graham Platner is exactly the sort of Democrat that Susan Collins and the Republican Party don't know how to handle. It's why I endorsed him back in February, and it's why I support him today. In November, working class Mainers are going to win.

Graham Platner and local organizers are building a working class movement that spans every corner of this state, from Fort Kent all the way down to Kittery. In November, that movement is going to win.

New 📺 ad: My name is Troy Jackson. I’m a logger from Allagash, and I’m the only Democrat for Governor endorsed by Bernie Sanders. My only special interest is the working class.

We hear all the time about the value of bipartisanship for its own sake. I don't buy it. I'll work with Republicans on plenty of important issues affecting Mainers, but if "bipartisanship" means giving tax cuts to the rich or stripping away reproductive rights, count me out.

Big corporate landowners are spraying glyphosate, a key ingredient in Roundup, all over Maine woodlands. They tell us it's safe. Well, Big Chemical told us DDT and PFAS were safe, too.

As Senate President, I passed a bill to ban the aerial spraying of this poison. But big landowners wanted it vetoed, so the Governor vetoed it.

We need action now. Join me in calling on Governor Mills and our state government to conduct comprehensive, statewide water testing for glyphosate and all forever chemicals. I'll share a link in the comments.

I was proud to endorse Graham back in February. I recognized in him the same thing Bernie did: he's a progressive fighter with the guts to take power back from the oligarchs who've dominated our political system – including the Democratic Party – for too long.

Congrats, brother. Maine is rising, and the working class is going to win.
