What am I even doing?

Last year I was the Lions den leader and now I'll be Tigers. Last year we had 4 kids, and this year I think we'll be at 7 or more.

I don't even know what we did last year, before each meeting id look through the adventures, try to find something that seemed semi interesting and then pull something out of my butt.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on planning your meetings out?

Finally!!! an editable floor plan

I just came across this project, called easy-floorplan. It seems like it's still in the early stages, but you can build a floor plan and even put devices in it and I think control the devices from a map.

Forget new dashboards, forget new integrations, forget everything coming out. THIS is what is going to make home assistant great when fully fleshed out.

Putting in a vent 1st floor to basement

I want to run a duct from my first floor down into my basement. The part where I'm venting to is right above my wife's office area into the basement. The plan is to have an inlet inlet in the hallway, go through the hallway closet, add an inline fan, down through the subfloor, emerge into the basement ceiling and put an outlet.

The basement door always remains open so I'm hoping this will circulate the air in the house and provide some heating into the basement during the winter and cooling the upstairs to some extent in the summer.

My main question is what are the parts that I should use to go through the subfloor. I was thinking of screwing in the collar from underneath the subfloor so i have something to attach to on the 1st floor, but then what would I attach to the collar in the basement. Is there a piece that i can attach to the subfloor that has 2 male ends? Sorry I don't know the terminology

Advice to revitalizing a pack

I'm an Eagle Scout who became a lions Den leader this year and will probably become assistant next year and then cubmaster.

We have k-3, but had no 4th grade den. AOL crossed over.

We do a decent amount of activities, but are kinda disorganized, aren't recruiting enough, and don't have a lot of involvement from parents.

My personal project is getting the word out there. I got our Facebook page back up and we're posting now. I got business/recruitment cards and pass them out to parents I think might be interested.

We just got onto "Band" and I think planning events and such will get better with that, but I still feel there is something missing in terms of how we do meetings.

There is/was a pack meeting roughly every week with the older kids, and I'd join them as well. We'd then break off after opening ceremony to individual dens and we'd just do our own thing. After looking at how some packs do meetings, it seems they coordinate what all the dens are working on each month and separate den vs pack meetings. Also I don't think we ever do a parent meeting, and the leader meeting was only once before I joined at the start of the year.

I think almost everyone is very open to change, they just need someone passionate, which is me, to drive things forward. Can anyone give me some good advice/goals on how we can get things in order and humming along.

I have 3 kids under 7, so I can only take on so much, but I really want to create a pack that kids will have fond memories of for years to come, like I did.
