My orders tell me that I have 10 days of downtime after basic. I chose security forces so I heard that I'm just across the street.

What can I do during this? can I go home for a few days?

Shipping out July 14th for BMT and then staying at Lackland for security forces. I’ve been hearing that I should bring a mid size duffle bag. Should I bring extra clothes for tech school or am I better off buying some after BMT?

Also, are we able to leave base and go to downtown San antonio?
