Reminder: Book!Corlys enthusiastically sided with Rhaenyra and never have problems with her kids
What do you think would happen if Daemon gave her Harrenhal? Simon and his family be furious? Freys? It's strange that she even asked for it.
Daeron and Oscar
The same age, but Oscar charismatic, confident, brave and condemns war crimes. Not like Tent Boy he fights his enemies with sword in hand on the battlefield, face to face.
Predict these two will be "contrast" for season 3, with their final clash in season 4.
"Life lessons" from Daemon vs "life lessons" from Ormund will be sabtext.
Let's solve this here and now. Could Daemon be a good king for Westeros?
reddit.comThe joy on Daemon’s face when he found Otto locked up 🤌
Aemond Targaryen suffering severe aura-loss! TOO much vulnerability, isn't it?
Condal stopped loving him after season 1? Or this is the way to make him more interesting?
Helaena being shown feeling discomfort when being touched around everybody but there’s one exception 🥰
Hate for Helaena and double standards.
It's started in Season 2 after TG were disappointed she "wasn't grieving properly."
But wait, why is Helaena criticized for that, but not her drunken, rapist husband?
With Rapegon, TG always go into fantasies about "his entire world revolved around baby Jaehaerys🥹" even if that never happened on screen.
Rapegon didn't raise that child. He didn't care about him. All he did (only after becoming king!) was parade him in front of the court, saying "my heir." Even on the day his son lost his head, he cared about his own life first, his reputation second and his son only last.
Was this grief long-lasting? No, Rapegon went to a party a couple of days later. But it's awkward to talk about that, isn't it?
It's much better to attack Helaena for being apathetic to things and not showing her grief openly. Helaena torments herself with visions of the future - if she knows the end of history, it's hard to even imagine her mindset. It's all a mix of what's happening, what has happened and what's supposed to happen. She knows the man who killed her son is a walking corpse. She knows almost all of them will be dead within the next six months. You can criticize her for not trying to change that, but that's a different matter.
Long story short: hatred for Helaena that's currently raising head is nothing more than a double standard, until people who hate her start hating her fucked-up husband, too.
For all his flaws, Daemon saves Rhaenyra and her crown. Asking him to stay was the best decision ever.
Can't even imagine how she could have walked this path without him...
Some points in the episode were controversial, but overall:
Rhaenyra goes to her throne, so it's time to remind that "she cut herself" has always been Eustace propaganda.
*The quote is a response from GRRM co-author to the question "what is propaganda and how does it work in "The Princess and The Queen".
If Luke were alive, how he would react to Jace locking their mother?
Still thinking about Baela sided with Jace instead of opening the door for Rhaenyra. So I'm just curious what Luke would do.
Thank you, Jace, for clarifying why Rhaenyra has a chance to kill Aamond even if "Vhagar is bigger than Syrax."
She's dying a little bit inside, each time...
Do you think Amond will continue this when they're in Harrenhole?
