just wanted to share this here, such an odd requirement in order to qualify for this specific building 💀

“70% of the units in the building are reserved for performing artists who live in NYC. The "artist" definition is a broad one, including performing artists, musicians and even stagehands and other entertainment-industry support staff. To qualify for artist housing, the head of each household must earn at least 50 percent of their income over the past three years in the entertainment industry."

They posted The Metropolis last week with original $800/900 prices and then somehow changed them to 130% AMI units three days later... like okay. And now it looks like they posted it again but under the original AMI level. Like why not just release all the available units clearly in one place with the correct AMI from the start?

Now I’m worried if this counts as a duplicate application since it's two different portals. Like what kind of mess is this omfg.
