Property Manager in NOLA

Anybody have any recommendations for a good property manager in NOLA that is reasonably priced? I prefer someone local and who will be there for storms. So far my shortlist has Coxe, Red Fish and Soniat. Any color on these?

Thanks everyone.

Building a Retirement Porfolio In New Orleans

Hi! I am planning to retire in New Orleans in a few years, and given that I will be downsizing considerably, will have equity to reinvest to keep assets in Real Estate. Like many people, I won't get a pension so I am thinking about going ahead now and buying one or two rental properties that I could use for retirement income. It sounds like the buyers market has passed. Is it still reasonable to believe I can find good investments in NOLA that can see me through a 20-30 year horizon? I am inclined to stick to the 'higher ground' areas and multi unit properties, and to live in one unit a few months a year in the pre-retirement years to spend time with my NOLA family.

Any thoughts or advice? I have extensive experience in the mortgage industry, but zero experience as a landlord.

All thoughts welcome!
