These are my groupings today at 50y with 3 types of ammo in a 457 American, xrs, timney, huxflow. CCI SV, Norma Tac, Lapua CX. Looking at these groups I’m not entirely pleased, felt that the Lapua should have performed better and now I’m doubting the rifle and considering a Bartlein re-barrel? Is that needed or do I need to not expect a .2 every group with any ammo at all? Have a 455 varmit I can barrel swap as well as this is a spotter contour. If it’s a lemon, barrel recommendations? Thanks.

C is CCI Sv, N for norma tac and L for Lapua CX, the lapua did best overall I think but isn’t as consistent as I’d like. Is this a technique issue or a rifle or ammo thing? It occasionally shoots groups like the last Lapua with CCi sv but I want all groups tiny… are any of these even close to acceptable with any of the ammo? Someone save me from spending $800 on a Bartlein please lol.

Have a 10/22 I’ve been building and it’s been giving me problems since installing a FJF bull barrel. If I seat the barrel shoulder against the receiver not a single round will feed properly, all getting caught in the lower edge of the round. The only way I’ve been able to get it to feed is backing the barrel out a couple mm then keeping a super loose v block as to not pull it all the way in. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix? Really want this thing to run and not destroy my ammo…
