Egpu TH5P4 on Legion Go with 3060ti
Just got my new TH5P4 egpu from Aliexpress. I use it on my Legion Go 1 (i know its USB4 only on the Lego port) with an GeForce 3060ti installed and a 700w psu.
Compared to my previous TH3P4G3 the new TH5P4 needs a high quality cable if you play with Legion Go.
I tried several cheaper cables which were working with TH3P4G3 but for TH5P4 i noticed disconnects very often.
Finally i bought a 2m active , Intel-certified TB4 cable by manufacturer Cable Matters which is Half of the costs compared to an Apple usb4 cable but still three times more expensive as normal passive cables.
Performance is really Good on the Lego playing Crimson Desert on high settings.
I don‘t expirienced issues with vents always in full mode even in idle state.
The TH3P4 would be sufficient for the Lego but I made a good deal on AliExpress , so I decided to buy the TH5P4 for Future devices with TB5 support.
