I was reading this Azure Update:

It says: [...] mitigating any potential ransomware attacks for the entire retention.
My understanding is these backups are managed and stored by Microsoft. Does it mean that they are at risk of ransomware? If yes, does it mean that the entire estate in Azure is at risk of ransomware (e.g. Storage Accounts, etc.)

Microsoft has released this feature:
Restore a Deleted Logical Server (Preview) - Azure SQL Database | Microsoft Learn
I thought it would be good to share because the documentation says:
Logical servers less than two years old have soft delete retention disabled by default.
So you might want to go take a look at your Azure SQL Server config!
