Hi all - we’ve been hosting less than a year, have 25+ 5 star reviews. Recently had a guest who said they wouldn’t need the unit’s parking space because the car coming and going was their dad being “our uber the next few days”

The day they checked out a neighbor alerted us that a car leaving our driveway hit the mailbox and knocked it over.

There was no visible damage and it was easy to get upright.

We did not hear anything from guests. They left a small, odd mess (some food caked on bedroom floor, blood on pillow case).

I’m seeking advice for how to rate and write their public review. With the mailbox, we aren’t 100% sure they were in the car.

While there wasn’t anything major wrong, I don’t feel they deserve a 5 star review, but I don’t want to make false accusations or penalize them if they were unaware of the mailbox.

We clearly state “let us know if anything goes wrong or breaks” and if they had, I wouldn’t have given this a second thought and been fine with a “shit happens” shrug off. But thinking as a host, I would like to know if about these guests if they request to stay.

I’m hesitant to ask them in case that lets them get ahead of things.
