reframing the levan argument as boxing: john is sugar ray, devon is ali, levan is mike tyson

I've been watching a lot of Mike Tyson and some thoughts came to me, and I think this works to explain the Levan/GOAT argument.

John Brzenk is Sugar Ray Robinson... old school, widely regarded as the GOAT, 200 fight dominant record over 25 years. John mirrors this in many respects.

Devon Larratt is Muhammad Ali... argued to be the goat, if you didn't know the old school you would clearly call him the goat. Amazing record with crazy wins. Entertainment and skill going hand in hand, just like big brother Dev.

Levan though is IRON MIKE TYSON... crazy undefeated first stretch in the big show, indomitable / a total force of nature, and all the other guys can't figure out how to get through the sheer power and dominance.

We do not call Iron Mike the goat but we DO recognize he was doing something unique and special. I believe this thought process applies here. I'm skeptical that the social fans and kids here will be able to wrap their heads around this take given the age of the references..... but after thinking about this, I can't help but conclude this comparison really illustrates how levan is NOT the greatest of all time. He's a phenom and A great. Most boxing experts wouldn't even put Iron Mike on a top 10 list... that's fact. But he remains the one who shook the sport.

And so is Levan... one who even if much higher in rank than Iron Mike was in the pantheon of greats, is relegated to not the greatest but rather "the one who shook the sport."

so how many total minutes a week do you think mindaugas tarasitis does on static band based holds?

I've been starting doing static position holds with bands at work and I'm loving it. Instinctually I'm feeling I'm gonna get a lot out of this, kinda like when I started other movements before that ended up helping.

How long do the big proponents of this technique of supplementary training do for it? 5 minutes a day, 30 minutes, a hand full of 30 seconds... what does mindy do? are there others? I'm going to be exploring this over time and I'm curious to the consensus!
