Roland RDH 102A V-Drum: any way to separate the beaters?
I've just bought this double bass pedal, but since I'm using an e-drums set at home, I changed the beaters in my old pedals by ones that are less noisy. They are wider (a full circle) and have some kind of foam on it so the noise is even lower.
However, even though I'm seeing that the beater has the typical screw to be able to change its angle and move it across the axis, I'm unable to move it so I can separate the two beaters and be able to use mine. Right now, if I put mine, both hit each other and I cannot use them at the same time.
This is the only way I can use them at the same time, right now, which is not very convenient
Is there any way to be able to move one of the beaters across the axis (as it seems I should be able to do since I see the screw is there)? Or the screw is there but it's completely useless and I cannot move them, so I cannot use my Meinl beaters with this pedal?
I find it difficult to believe that a brand like Roland does not let me to change my beaters by others that are wider than what they expect to.
Thank you!
