GLC Mumbai 5-Year LLB Cutoff — Chances in Subsequent Rounds?

The first-round cutoff for GLC Mumbai’s self-financed seats came out at 99.39 percentile (closing rank: 82), while the cutoff for the government-aided seats was 99.57 percentile.

For those familiar with the previous years’ trends, how much can we realistically expect the cutoff to fall in the subsequent rounds?

I scored 99.2 percentile, so I’m currently about 20 ranks behind the self-financed closing rank. Is

there is still a realistic chance of getting GLC Mumbai in the later rounds, especially considering seat movement and candidates opting for other colleges.

Genuine Advice on 2nd Partial Drop

After Boards decided to pursue law and leave Science field. 6 months Prep as a dropper (MY FIRST DROP), got AIR5xxx in Clat 2026. Was pursuing 2nd attempt as a 2nd full Dropper. By the Grace of God himself, I somehow managed to get GLC Mumbai. I had 3 questions.

Before answering the below please note:- I am very much interested in this field, of Law. Not wanting to do Litigation. I want what's best for me, parents are supportive. I have financial stability. I am aware GLC has amazing legacy, location, intern, high court proximity pros. I'm trying to make the best long-term career decision—not chase prestige for its own sake.

  1. Is taking a partial drop and reattempting even a good idea now that I have GLC Mumbai.
  2. Even if I do crack Clat and get NLSIU or NALSAR as options, will it be worth transferring from GLC, and making a 5 year course to a 7 year one (2 Drops)
  3. If I spend two extra years to graduate from NLS/NALSAR instead of GLC, what exactly am I buying?

Some people have advised me to embrace GLC and move on, while others say I shouldn't settle if I genuinely believe I can do better. Personally, after investing so much time and effort into CLAT, I find it difficult to simply settle. At the same time, the prospect of spending five years largely focused on internships with comparatively less of a traditional college life also feels daunting and not something I would necessarily want for myself. I genuinely wanna know will the 2 years ever be a good ROI.
So what would you do if u were in my position?
