Canadian trying to secure funding to finish rotations and match
I’m currently in clinical training and trying to find a way to secure funding to complete the final stretch of medical school.
My situation deteriorated financially during school. Before med school I had strong credit and managed everything responsibly, but over time the combination of tuition, living costs,LOCdebt, and inability to work consistently during med school caused things to spiral. I fell behind on obligations and my credit is now poor.
I’m trying to figure out realistic pathways forward. Academically, I’ve done very well. My issue is financing, not academic standing. Traditional lending has become difficult because most institutions only see my credit score and not the broader context or future earning trajectory.
If anyone has experience navigating this as a Canadian or as anIMG/Caribbean student, I’d genuinely appreciate any insight.
